What is the housing situation?
You can stay in, the Casablanca Gardens Apartments, which are adjacent to the studio. (Rooms renting at USD 210 a month). There are also many reasonably priced apartments and houses for rent in the area.
What is the pay?
The internship pays $ 800/month.
How will my skills develop?
In addition to getting hands on experience on all kinds of productions, you will also get to attend workshops and classes on all aspects of filmmaking. These workshops/classes are held by our experienced Hollywood professionals. They include everything from a workshop on the RED to producing, writing, advanced lighting, directing and editing techniques. These same Hollywood professionals will mentor you on your different projects during your internship period, and be your guides in their respective fields. Your filmmaking skills will develop on many levels.

Requirements?
• You need to provide own roundtrip ticket from your destination to Cebu.
• You need a valid passport.
• You need to bring your own laptop to work on ( minimum 100 GB of free hard drive space).
• You need to bring an external hardrive (minimum 320 GB).
• You need to bring a USB memory stick (flash drive).
• You have to have valid travel/health insurance that covers your six month stay. That can usually be purchased when you buy the ticket. Check with a travel agent.
• You have to have a credit or debit card.
• You need to have or buy a GSM phone.
• You need to buy a local sim card once here. (Cost about 2 USD).
How do I get around in Cebu?
English is an official language of the Philippines and widely spoken and understood. So, getting around is easy.
What can I do in my spare time?
You can swim at a local beach, get a massage after a long day or join in on a song during the Filipino favorite pastime -- karaoke. There's also plenty to do in Cebu's massive shopping malls- catch a movie or do a bit of shopping. Discovering the local culture is also part of the fun.
After work, you can meet the other interns and employees at Tiki, our company bar, which overlooks the water at the back of Bigfoot Studios.
What happens after I finish my internship?
Bigfoot is interested in long-term relationships with upcoming talent in the industry. That's why an assessment follows each internship to explore opportunities for work on Bigfoot productions. We have several past interns who now work on different Bigfoot productions.
What do I need to be considered for an internship?
To be considered for placement in our internship program, you must meet the following criteria:
• Have the dedication and passion to work in the entertainment industry.
• Have previous experience in production or your desired area of work (paid or unpaid).
• Have exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Work well under pressure.
• Be computer literate and proficient with mainstream information technology.
